Behavior Modification Program
Struggling pre-teens and adolescents need to make changes in their behaviors in order to live successfully in a community. Behavior modification techniques are designed to address those negative behaviors.
These interventions tend to be very effective with young people, simply because they are still young. Unlike adults, they are not set in their ways. In fact, starting as young as possible is best, as the child will respond more readily than when they are older. This is true, for example, with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), when treating kids under age 16 is very successful.
For this reason, it’s best for parents to be aware of their child’s behavioral or emotional difficulties before age 16 – to ensure getting the best help for their child. Kids typically flourish when these issues are addressed in the right way, helping them excel in life.
